Brodhead Water and Light is a locally owned & operated, electric and water utility, providing quality service to over 1,850 customers in the City of Brodhead.
Public power systems like Brodhead Water & Light are non-profit and have one main purpose – to provide customers with the best services at the lowest possible cost.
We are proud to be a member-owner of Wisconsin Public Power Inc (WPPI), a regional power company serving 51 customer-owned electric utilities. Through WPPI, these public power utilities share resources and own generation facilities to provide reliable, affordable electricity to more than 195,000 homes and businesses in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Iowa.
We also provide our customers with clean, high-quality water that meets or exceeds all state and federal standards. Brodhead Water & Light was founded on May 1, 1913 by the citizens of Brodhead to encourage the city’s development.
