The city would like to note that we have NOT purchased the former fitness center as it is reported in the Independent Register.  An offer to purchase resolution 2018-013 for the property located at 708 23rd Street, for $435,721.71 was approved with a 5-1 vote. The purchase agreement includes the following contingencies: that the City receive a $500,000 grant, a positive voter referendum and the city obtains commitments for the funding of not less than $500,000 for the purchase of the property as a senior/community center. A purchase of the property will not occur unless the contingencies are met.

Welcome

Mayor Pinnow

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the web site for Brodhead, Wisconsin.  As the Mayor of this small City located in Southern Wisconsin, I invite you to explore our web site, and see what we have to offer.  Our small town atmosphere features a historic downtown, excellent schools, two medical clinics, churches, businesses, numerous civic organizations, beautiful parks, industry - including the world headquarters of Kuhn North America, and agriculture.

Enjoy our many festivals or bike on the beautiful Sugar River Bike Trail.  Purchase cheese at an authentic cheese factory, or buy fresh apples at an orchard, each located just outside the City limits.  Brodhead is working in conjunction with the Department of Natural Resources to develop the Pearl Island Recreational Area.  Cleaning up existing waterways, developing nature trails, preserving native wildlife and plants, are all part of the project.

Thank you for your interest in Brodhead, WI.  Stop in for a visit or use the information on the web site to contact our Staff, elected Officials, or City Departments.

Sincerely,
Douglas Pinnow, Mayor
